The Design And Implement Of VM Management Platform Based On VMware VSphere

With the rise of cloud computing technology, its applications are gradually the pursuit of major IT companies. Virtual technology as supporting cloud computing technology has once again become the center, but using Virtual technology has become the one important choice in universities or enterprises. The design of the VM(virtual machine) management platform provides unified, automated, reasonable use-resources for the college lab or en-terprises and it provides users with customization system effectively. Users through the platform use a VM to improve the efficiency of the Server resources management, as same as to regulate the use of Server resources.Based on the actual situation of the VM resources management of the university lab and enterprise datacenters, we design and develop the basic functions of the VM Manage-ment Platform based on the VMware vSphere in terms of system architecture development methodology. During the development process, we have done the following works:Master-ing virtual technology principle, the VMware product characteristics and other technology of the Cloud Computing; Conducting a detailed analysis to the system’s functional and non-functional requirements; on the above basics, we construct the system architecture using the J2EE MVC pattern; We adopt structural design mode to divide functional modules of the system, the applying a VM, the VM template, the deployment of VM and the VM manage-ment module design.The VM Management Platform is a set of the applying, using and managing VM of the integrated Management Platform System. We use the following key technologies to imple-ment the system:in order to better meet user’s need, using the B/S architecture, it realizes client the zero maintenance costs. With the consideration of the velocity of restoring the VM and its template and combine with distributed cloud computing technology, and we design to use Hadoop HDFS file storage; with the consideration the VM’s access-control, we use cloud terminal to provide application friendly. At the same time, we use JavaBean technol-ogy to process information exchange. The realization of the basic functions of the VM Management Platform System,which it effectively promotes the virtual construction of the university laboratory and the enterprise datacenter, but also speed up the popularity of virtual technology.
