With the rapid development of the Internet, streaming media has been widely used to occupy most of the bandwidth of the Internet world. As streaming media applications need sufficient bandwidth and high real-time, traditional client-server model is not suitable for streaming media applications. With the rise of the mobile Internet, smart terminals have multiple network access methods gradually become mainstream, the use of multiple network devices to enhance the performance of streaming media applications is gradually being taken seriously. So in this thesis an improved technology about streaming media delivery and bandwidth aggregation is proposed.First, for the streaming media server, a streaming media distribution technology is proposed. One aspect is scalable video coding, in order to try to improve the adaptability of streaming media services to meet a variety of network conditions under streaming media transmission using H.264/SVC video encoding. H.264/SVC scalable features can reduce the bit rate of the video transmission and archive a higher cache hit rate. The other aspect is the streaming media distribution technology, in order to try to optimize streaming media data transmission, and reduce the frequency of packet reordering, a priority-based streaming media distribution technology is proposed.Secondly, a bandwidth aggregation technology is proposed which is applicable in streaming media client. One aspect is about multi-path transmission. We propose a HTTP-based multi-path transmission technology, which can significantly increase the throughput after convergence. The other aspect is about streaming media transmission control strategy. Through packet scheduling and control strategy, we can get higher video quality of service as well as a high throughput.
