In this paper we present an optical profilomettic technique-Fourier Transform profilometry. We mainly used this technique to measuring surface morphology of3D objects. for example, in mechanical manufacturing industry, reverse engineering technology fields have applications. It has the contact, without the characteristics of destruction, and high accuracy, high resolution, data acquisition advantages of fast and is recognized as the most promising3d face form measurement method.When use FTP to measure3D objects’ surface profile, the most basic is collecting the measurement data, and other information. And the most important step is to these data and information processing to consolidate our proposed the reliability of the view. This paper as a hot and difficult point, we also discuss unwrapping algorithm of research. To solve these problems, we focused on the following research work:The first, using the computer software mapped the image,which is without noise interference, compare to other methods of getting projection stripe, it can greatly improve the measurement accuracy.The second, establish experimental device of Fourier Transform Profilometry.The third, application MATLAB image acquisition to the stripe of the program, extracting the digital camera photography in2D stripe of information, in order to carry on digital fourier transform processing.The fourth, put forward in order to improve the Fourier transform profilometry measurement precision of the method, the prospective sine projection and phase shift technology, digital weighted method, etc.got the ideal3D the phase distribution.The fifth, Research unwrapping of some of the method, through the spread of3D after the phase distribution for the object got3D face form, and carries out a full and detailed summarized and discussed.This article through to improve the Fourier transform profile measurement technique system measurement precision and practical analysis of unwrapping algorithm, the object of the measurement of the3D face form more accurately, also makes the Fourier transform technique in the object contour measuring3D face form of measuring technology has a new progress.
