Luan River to Tianjin project is China’s first inter-basin water diversion project,the lifeline of Tianjin. Application of neural networktechnology to achieve the continuous prediction of the operating performance of thepumping unit, and to avoid the traditional performance Inaccuracies and thedisadvantage of high cost, and accuracy of the prediction can be increased withincreasing the number of samples, network training can be carriedout in samples collected online, it is very suitable for online monitoring andforecasting of the pumping unit.In this paper, Luan River to Tianjin pumping station data, for example,according to the relationship between the pump performance and various factors and aBP artificial neural network as a basis for the pump head and efficiency of traffic,blade angle and other factor’s prediction. Predictions both accurate and economical,reduce the cost of the test. The use of technology is to improve the reliabilityand quality of run of the pumping unit. The results are satisfactory.
