Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is not only one of network technologies that have witnessed rapid development in recent years, but it is also one of the four emerging technologies that have great influence in this century. This kind of network, transmitted in a wireless manner, boasts such features as low power consumption, self-organization, self-adaption, etc. WSN can be applied into many fields, such as fire alarm, medical emergency treatment, coal and mine monitoring, Internet of things, to name just a few.WSN has a wide variety of operating systems, and the study focuses on the TinyOS operating system, which is the most popular operating system and also one of the most accepted mainstream WSN platforms. This paper firstly makes an introduction to the development status quo and characteristics of WSN technology, and then conducts a research in the TinyOS operating system. Thanks to the TinyOS, both point-to-point communications and design of data management module could be realized. This paper makes use of this advantage of the TinyOS and designs a simple ACO routing protocol. This paper also creates a text message remote data transmission system, which is verified through test.
