With the rapid progress of the information and the electronic productdeve lopment in the world, people need more and more ma gnetic sensor with thecharacteristic of miniaturizatio n, rapid response and high sensitivity. The hallmagnetic sensor based on the traditio nal ha ll ele ment and fluxgate magneticsensor is more and more diffic ult to satis fy ing the people’s demand. Giantmagneto-impedance (GMI) effect which Mohri etc fo und the new effect in thesoft a morphous materia l in the20th century90s, it is defines that amorphousalloy material whic h in the high frequenc y ac frequency excitation, exchange itsimpedance with the external longitudina l magnetic field changes. With highsensitivity, low power consumption, quick response speed advantages, the giantmagneto-impedance effect magnetic sensor make the people have interest ingiant ma gneto-impedance effect. The phys ical mecha nism of the giantmagneto-impedance effect and the applicatio n deve lopment of a morphous wire isa hotspot in the fie ld, it is widely used in nationa l defe nse career, aerospacescience and techno logy and informatio n automation, etc, the research is of greatsignificance.The paper stud ies from the core of the sensor what is the gia ntmagneto-impedance of sensitive ele ment amorphous wire materia l, First of a ll,the paper introduce the amorphous wire giant ma gneto-impedance effect theoryresearch, study the different ac driving frequency, different driving mode anddifferent treatment methods influence the giant magneto-impedance ofamorphous wire, then introduces the asymmetric gia nt magneto-impedance effect,through the theoretica l model simulate the different frequenc y and length ofamorphous materia ls made the influence the giant ma gneto-impedance effect.Base on the theoretical mode l designing a measureme nt system what can measurethe amorphous wire giant magneto-impedance (GMI) effect characteristics, themeasuring syste m includ ing signa ling prov ide ac excitation, Helmho ltz coilprovide externa l magnetic fie ld, amorphous wire PCB circ uit, data processingmodel, computer application progra m realize the impedance change curve d isplay.Through the analysis of curve results confirm the feas ibility of the measure mentsystem. According to the measureme nt data of the amorphous wire choosing theappropriate working parameters, design a gia nt magneto-impedance array sensorwhich can detect ac ma gnetic fie ld, which including probe design, Ba ndpassfilter, amplifier etc functio n part, through the ana lys is of the waveform resultsconfirm that the system operability and feasib ility. Through the experiment data ana lys is, the result shows that the sensor withhigh sensitivity can be applied to detect the outside ac magnetic fie ld.
