Research On The College Students’ Network Media Literacy Education Based On The Impact Of The Network News

Since the1990s, with the continuous progress and rising utility rate of science andtechnology, the Internet has penetrated into all areas of social life, which is affecting people’slives and ways of thinking. As a special social group, college students have a strongacceptance and plasticity. Therefore, they are more susceptible to the influence of the network,which is a double-edged sword. So it has become an important issue currently facing thecountry to help students make full use of the positive impact of the network, and effectivelyavoid and reduce the negative impact, so that they can actively integrate into the tide ofInternet culture and become high-quality talents meeting the social needs.This thesis starts from the perspective of network news. Through analyzing and studyingthe emergence and development of the Internet, as well as the status and characteristics of theInternet in China, this paper discusses the connotation and characteristic of network news andstudents network media literacy from a new perspective, and learn about the various effects ofnetwork news on college students by questionnaire investigation. What’s more, this thesisstudies both the positive and negative impact of network news on college students, andsummarizes the process of effect, from which it finds fundamental causes of the negativeeffect of network news on college students. Then this paper analyzes and summarizes thesereasons, and further reveals the importance of the current network media literacy educationfor college students. Based on these contents, this paper also analyzes the United Kingdom’ssuccessful experience in media literacy education, and compares it with China’s existingmedia literacy education outcomes. Then according to China’s specific situation, this paperanalyses and summarizes the current problems in media literacy education of China and itsfuture development direction. Finally, the paper systematically proposes the basic ideas ofnetwork media literacy education for college students under the influence of the networknews.
