An Study On Xinjiang Minority College Students’ Chinese Cultural Identity

Culture is soul and blood of the nation, and cultural plays an important role inthe process of national unity. Cultural identity is spiritual bond of a nationalcohesion,is this nation’s spiritual food which is favor of the sustainable development.Xinjiang has wide land,many ethnic minorities, and creates a large number ofnational culture, but we must be clear that the traditional culture of the various ethnicminorities in Xinjiang creates among the diversity in unity pattern of the Chineseculture. Higher education is the important part of the advanced socialistculture,which is a concrete manifestation of socialist spiritual civilization in collegesand universities. The culture of the university campus is a way which encouragesstudents to perfect their self-management and to improve their own ideological andpolitical level. College students are the main force who bear important tasks andinherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, they arerepresentatives of Chinese advanced culture.55ethnic minorities in China show thediversity and richness of their culture, the college students of ethnic minorities are aspecial group in the university campus,not only they are affected by their ownnational culture and create special feeling on their culture of the nation, but alsoinfluenced by many different national culture on campus. What should they do whenfacing a variety of national culture? What will their Cultural identity change afterentering the university campus,escaping from the influence of the original socialenvironment, facing a new living environment?This article aims to indicate the status of cultural identity of college students ofethnic minorities by studying on Cultural identity of college students,and to pointout the problems and causes according to the current situation, to explore ways andmeans to solve the problem, to better enhance cultural identity of college students ofethnic minorities, to promote the establishment of a new type of socialist socialrelations and the harmonious campus,to realize the desire of equality and unitywhich are asked by all ethnic minorities. The thesis consists of five parts.The first chapter is an introduction, mainly introduce the basis of the paper, theresearch status at home and abroad, the innovations and difficulties of paper.The second chapter introduces the theory research on Chinese cultural identity,mainly analyzes the theoretical study of the Chinese Cultural Identity and the basicstatus of Minority Students in Xinjiang.The second chapter describes the theoretical study of the Chinese culturalidentity. Uygur, Kazak, Mongolian, Kirgiz minority collegestudents survey of Cultural Identity Problems of Minority College Students.The fourth chapter analyzes the factors affecting the Minority UniversityStudents in China cultural identity. To analyze the impact of factors from the socialenvironment, the traditional mode of education of university, media-oriented,traditional cultural values.Chapter5pointed out that the face of the problems of Minority CollegeStudents pointed out that this problem approaches.
