Along with the development of local economic and social, the positioning of local undergraduate colleges has been the concern of the higher education sector. In the influence of academic freedom and social interventions, you need to integrate them to achieve the reasonable positioning of local Colleges, so we can enhance the quality of the local colleges, highlighting its vitality.This paper represents the academic freedom and social intervention in detail. To solve the problem of the positioning of the Local Colleges, we use the relationship of the academic freedom and social intervention. The author believes that the reasonable position of the local colleges can not be separated from both the University academic freedom, social intervention can not be lost, local colleges can not only refuse the intervention of the community, to academic freedom and social interventions integrated identity. The article is based on this point, stating premise of academic freedom and social intervention symbiotic, local colleges must know how to grasp the development path, and make itself to among the forefront of the first-class university, and create a prestigious university.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part introduce the basic theories, and analysis the related theories of academic freedom, social intervention and local colleges.The second part starts from the relationship between social intervention and academic freedom, reveals the link and contradiction between them. The author also dissected the "natural" state and "Practice" state of local colleges, and reveals the local colleges positioning dislocation phenomenon. According to the surveys and studies of this phenomenon, we know the reasons.The third part discusses how to deal with the contradiction of academic freedom and social interventions. In this chapter, the author uses the innovative thinking and the concept of harmonious development to achieve the integration of academic freedom and social interventions. The local colleges must rely on their own efforts to hold the protection of academic freedom. The efforts of university teachers and the faith of university presidents are the keys of the university to adhere to academic freedom. Local colleges should accept social intervention forwardly and selectively. In the process of accepting social intervention, we should establish a healthy concept of social services, and more importantly, the university should grasp the "degree" of social intervention. With the changing of the environment, academic freedom and social interventions must continue to adjust the boundaries of interests between the two sides, and continue to seek a new balance and compromise specifications to achieve the harmonious development between university and society.
