Protests against Japanese government’s nationalizing process ofDiaoyu Island in about180cities in China broke out during the Sep.15to Spe.18in2012which raised the dispute of the ownership of Diaoyu Island again between Chinaand Japan. Centring on this event, the discourse texts in China, either focus on thehistorical dimension or contemplate the future orientation, all have high articulationwith contemporary social practice. By collecting varieties of the texts, the author putsforward the different discourse hierarchies in China i.e. Grass-root Class, MiddleClass, Opinion Leader Class and Official Media Class. Then the author elaborates thestrategies among different hierarchies in text dimension such as vocabulary choosing,grammar choosing and cohesion use and social practice dimension such as symbolicfield strategy, intertextuality use, illocutionary/perlocutionary act, and agenda setting.Above all, this paper mainly shows the process and effects of the discourse wrestlingamong different classes in contemporary China. |
