Eczema is a kind of skin inflammatory disease caused by a variety of internal and external factors, and it tends to have obvious ooze. The main skin manifestations of the acute eczema are papulovesicles which have a tendency to exudation. Pimples, scales and crusts are the main manifestations of the subacute eczema. And in the chronic phase, lichenifications are the main skin manifestations, and the chronic eczema is likely to happend recurrently. The etiology of this disease is still unclear, it may relates to various factors, for example, Immune dysfunction, endocrine and metabolic changes, chronic infection, skin barrier dysfunction and individual susceptibility. Eczema belongs to the category of "wet sores" of traditional Chinese medicine.Western medicine treatment is based on the principle of anti-inflammation and itching relief. Systematic treatment mainly contains antihistamines and non-specific desensitizers, antibiotics are also needed in case of infection. The external used drugs are mostly glucocorticoids. Solution drugs can also be applied on the skin lesions in acute phase, or can external use Calamine lotion. In subacute and chronic eczema treatment, emollient, cutin stripping agent, non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics or immunosuppressor can be used according to the situations of the skin lesions, radiation and physical therapy can be sometimes used. Although kinds of western medicine are available, the major choices are still glucocorticoids which have various side effects, meanwhile immunosuppressors are too expensive. As a result traditional Chinese medicine has an unique advantage. This thesis consists of a literature review and a clinical research. The literature review includes two parts, the first part mainly introduces the understanding of "wet sores" in Chinese medicine, it includes the naming of these diseases in ancient Chinese literature, the ancient and modern famous doctors’views for wet sores’ etiology, pathogenesis, and treatment, it also includes an overview of Chinese medicine external treatment of wet sores in the past decade. The second partment summarizes the factors related to the incidence of eczema and modern medicine for the eczema treatment.Clinical research collected44cases of patient with eczema in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Dongzhimen Hospital dermatological department during April2013and February2014. By analyzing their medical records, we found that the elderly patients between50~69years old accounted for54.54%of the total sample group, and the relapsed patients accounted for72.72%. Summer and fall are the high-incidence seasons of eczema. Patients with a family history of allergic diseases accounted for27.27%, patients with environment related pathogenesis accounted for18.18%, patients known of the allergens accounted for27.27%, patients who agreed that psychological factors can aggravate eczema accounted for61.36%. We divided the44patients into one treatment group and one control group. Patients in the treatment group were applied with fufangkushenzhiyangshuang,2weeks later, the total effective rate of the treatment group was88.46%and the markedly effective rate was65.38%, the recovery rate was23.08%. In contrast, the total effective rate of the control group was61.11%, the remarkably effective rate was33.33%, and the recovery rate was0%. Compare the Pruritus score, lesion area and the rash form before and after the treatment, compare the efficient between the treatment group and control group, the results proves that Fufangkushenzhiyangshuang has an curative effect in the external treatment of subacute eczema, and there was no drug adverse reaction during the research, and clinical safety of fufangkushenzhiyangruangao has been approved.
