Medicine "Spasm Party" Foam Washing Relieve Ankle Spasm Clinical Symptoms Of Acute Stroke

[Objectives]Evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation therapy to improve the efficacy and safety of stroke after acute ankle joint contracture.[Methods]Collected57cases of stroke recovery and sequelae of ankle jointcontracture patients,27patients met the inclusion criteria,case series study used, based on the given basic drugs for the treatment of cerebral vascular disease, the conventional treatment of rehabilitation training and acupuncture treatment, the increase in Chinese medicinefumigation treatment, to observe the efficacy and safety.Treatment in every bedtime, time is20min,2week treatment.Before treatment, after treatment,1months after the end of treatment,use compopsite spasticity scale,measurement of ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion angle and range of activities,visual analogue score of spasm,visual analogue score of pain,visual analogue score of numbness, patients report outcomes scale to evaluate clinical efficacy.[Results]Recent clinical efficacy:useing traditional Chinese medicine fumigation therapy treatafter acute stroke patients with ankle joint contracture,application of compopsite spasticity scale, before treatment score was12(2), after treatment score was10(3), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01);application of modified modified Ashworth scale,before treatment score was2(0), after treatment score was2(0), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);in the ankle dorsiflexion angle, before treatment was97.20±9.11501°,after treatment was87.24±8.536°, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01); angle of flexion in the ankle plantar aspect, before treatment was129.48±6.740°, after treatment was134.56±5.026°, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01);in the aspect of the scope of activities of ankle, before treatment was32.28±9.316°, after treatment was47.32±8.793°, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01);application of visual analogue score of spasm,before treatment score was8(3), after treatment score was6(5), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01);application of visual analogue score of pain,before treatment score was8(4), after treatment score wasl(5), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);application of visual analogue score of numbness,before treatment score was7(3), after treatment score was3(7), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01);applicationof patients report outcomes scale,before treatment score was 23.56+9.90825, after treatment score was26.24±6.180, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).In conclusion,Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation therapy can significantly improve the spasm degree after the acute phase of stroke, ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion angle and range of motion,spasm,pain,numbness,the score of patients reported outcome.The long-term clinical efficacy:The statistical calculation,1months after the end of treatment,the degree of ankle joint contracture,the spasm state,the pain,the numbness,the score of patients reported outcome,had significant improvement as compared with that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);excepthe spasm state had a slight rebound,ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion angle and range of motion,spasm,pain, numbness,the score of patients reported outcome.after the end of treatment had no significant changes (P>0.05).Above shows, stop herbal fumigation treatment,the treatment effect on pain,numbness,patients report outcomes scaleofefficacy and stability. Safety:In the course of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment,the27patients didn’t appear the short and long termdiscomfort. This shows that Chinese medicine fumigation therapy is safe and reliable.[Conclusions]Preliminary observation on the clinical efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine fumigation therapy in improved stroke recovery and sequelae period ankle spasm symptoms. The results confirmed that the traditional Chinese medicine fumigation therapy can not only improve the spasmsymptoms, also have very good therapeutic effect for post-stroke pain and numbness, thus to improve outcome in patients with post stroke score alsohas a good effect. The therapy efficacy, stable curative effect, high safety,easy to use.
