[Background] Recent years, prevention and health care undertakings of Traditional Chinese Medicine have a certain degree development. In community health service centers, TCM has participated in "six in one" functions which include prevention, health care, medical treatment, recovery, health education and birth control. That building the TCM prevention and health care service system has been put in the Twelfth Five-year Plan in Beijing, which are going to expand the system to primary level, in order to promote the combination of the concept and measures of "preventive treatment of disease" in TCM and "six in one" functions in community health service centers. It is so important to know the developing situations of community TCM prevention and health care at present stage in Beijing, for building a distinctive, technological, diversiform and normative prevention and health care service system, as well as for coming into being a full equipped network of "preventive treatment of disease" in TCM and health assurance mode.[Objective] Have a comprehensive understanding of the developing situations of community TCM prevention and health care in Beijing, to provide a reference to the TCM prevention and health care service system. Analyze the affecting factors of the developing of community TCM prevention and health care in Beijing, to provide a reference to optimal allocate on health resources. Explore an effective developing path of community TCM prevention and health care in Beijing, to give some suggestions on promoting TCM to play a more important role in community health service.[Method] To understand the current situation and affecting factors of Beijing community TCM prevention and health care by the method of questionnaire survey, interview and discuss. By use of association analysis and complex network of data mining, to analyze the associativity of Beijing community TCM prevention and health care items and the aggregation between items and departments, with the purpose of exploring the problems and solutions of community TCM prevention and health care.[Content] Investigating the setting situations of health care related departments, the departments that serve TCM health care services, the integrity of management rules and regulations, the fraction of coverage of TCM health management target population, the fraction of coverage of TCM health records of communities in Beijing all16districts to grasp the basic information of Beijing community TCM prevention and health care. To investigate items, personnel, departments of each community health service center in Beijing according to the<Guide of community TCM service> in order to provide suggestions to regulate community TCM prevention and health care service and revise related policies. To excavate the affecting factors of community TCM prevention and health care in each community health service center and the associativity among items to provide a reference to save limited health resource and realize community TCM resource scale effect. Concerning the request of building TCM prevention and health care service system and the present developing stage of Beijing community TCM prevention and health care, to summarize successful experience and analyze causes of the problems. Making useful exploration on how to integrate TCM into community, take traditional advantages of "preventive treatment of disease" in TCM and extend the cognition degree of community TCM prevention and health care, as well as improve the health standard of community residents.[Conclusion] Beijing community TCM prevention and health care service have certain developed recently, but the advantages of "preventive treatment of disease" in TCM have not been put to full use. Beijing community TCM prevention and health care service have appeared the trend of normalization, the level of which still need to further enhance. Human factor is the core element, among the affecting factors of Beijing community TCM prevention and health care service developing. For more effective development, Beijing community TCM prevention and health care service need to be arranged reasonably.
