TCM Syndromes And Prognosis Of Colorectal Cancer In Diabetic Patients

This paper include two parts:literature review and clinical research.The first part is the literature review, the main content is to study the background about this topic.Describes,the research progress on malignant tumor and diabetes mellitus.Include the following parts:1.Research status of malignant tumor and diabetes mellitus medicine,contains the basic concept,epidemiology,pathogenesis;2.The understanding of malignant tumor with diabetes,contains consensus of Chinese medicine on tumor and diabetes messitus.The second part is clinical research,the topic is TCM syndronme type and the prognosis in patients with colorectal cancer complicated with diabetes mellitus.Obiective:Mainly from two aspects:1.The patients’TCM syndrome type with colorectal cancer and diabetes mellitus and the relationship of prognosis;2.The effect of diabetes mellitus to colorectal cancer’ incidence area,type,degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis and the prognosis.Methods:A retrospective study method of statistical analysis,analsis of2012.6to2013.12,China Japan Friendship hosptial of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine department of internal medicine treated112cases of patients after resection of colorectal cancer.According to the different incidence of A group(diabetes) and group(non DM),statistics two groups of postoperative pathological report of location,pathological type,degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis,PFS,TCM syndrome type.Analysis TCM syndromes’distribution characteristics and the prognosis with diabetes,effect of diabetes on colorectal cancer incidence and prognosis.Results:1.No significant differences between gender and age(P>0.05);2.No significant differences between the two groups in the tumor location,histological grade,differentiation (P>0.05);3.A is more possible than B to lymph node metastasis,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05), distant metastasis between the two groups is not statistically significant;4.The average PFS of A is short than B,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05);5.Blood stasis and toxin junction is the most in the group A,Damp heat syndrome is the most in group B, Blood stasis and toxin junction’ average PFS is shortest in group A,,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05)Conclusion:1.The effect of diabetes mellitus on location of colorectal cancer,pathological types,differentiation degree is not obvious;2.Diabetes colorectal cancer patients are more possible to lymph node metastasis and the prognosis is poor;3.The most syndrome of colorectal cancer complicated with diabetes is blood stasis and toxin junction,and the prognosis with this syndrome is poor.
