Siwu Xiaofeng Powder Moxibustion In Chronic Eczema Relapse Prevention

Objective:To observe the effect and the recurrence rate of combination of SiWu Xiaofeng Powder and Moxa-moxibustion on Chronic Eczema.Methods:60patients were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,30patients in each group.The control group were treated by SiWu Xiaofeng Powder and qiangyue cream, both twice daily; the treatment group were added with Moxa-moxibustion on shenque acupoint and sanyinjiao for30min once daily,7days for a period of treatment for2consecutive weeks.Clinical manifestation and EASI scores were recorded at the day of preliminary diagnosis and the end of treatment. And two groups of patients were followed up to record the recurrence rate at the end of2months、4months and6months.Results:In the comparison of effect between the two groups,the effective rate was96.67%in treatment group,93.33%in control group,in the incidence of adverse reactions was not statistically significant (p>0.05).In the two months later, the recurrence rate was6.89%in treatment group,14.28%in control group, and the difference was not statistically significant (p>0.05).In the four and six months later,the recurrence rate was17.24%or27.59%in treatment group,42.86%or57.14%in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).Conclusion:SiWu Xiaofeng Powder combined with Moxa-moxibustion may be safe and effective for patients with chronic zczema can improve the quality of life of patients signifcantly,and delay the recurrence of chronic eczema.
