| Background: According of Epidemiology reports that there are about300people diedfrom cardiovascular diseases and cerebrovascular diseases every hour in China. It is a trendon the whole that the morbidity of these diseases are on the rise and the rate of diseases areyounger. These diseases are the most serious diseases because of atherosclerosis (AS) atpresent. It was the most important to our doctor that how to prevent these diseases. The studyis very obviously, the common pathology basic of these diseases are AS. Therefore, it is thekey of preventing these diseases. Now, many people believe that dyslipidamia hyperpiesiasmoking gene and age are the risk of atherosclerosis. Some people think that dyslipidamia isthe most important risk of all. So controlling dyslipidamia is very important. Atherosclerosisbelongs to “Strokeâ€â€œChest painâ€â€œVertigo†and some other diseases in traditional Chinesemedicine. The Sixty-three years clinical observations of the Framinghan heart study slowedthat age, dyslipidamia, hyperpiesia, smoking and gene are the risk factors of atherosclerosis.These risk factors are respectively correlating with the Patho-mechanisms of blood stasis withqi stagnation, weakness of the spleen, deficiency of the liver and kidney, deficiency of thepectoral qi, kidney essence shortage in the theory of traditional Chinese medicine.Purpose:Using hyperlipoidemia model of domestic rabbit, to discuss the relationshipbetween hyperlipoidemia and atherosclerosisï¼›Observing the anti-hyperlipoidaemia andanti-atherosclerosis effects of QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule and further study itscorresponding mechanisms; and thus it will provide theoretical basis for the clinicalapplication of QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule.Material and method:1.Hyperlipidaemia model was established using high-fat diet.2.Compared with XUE-ZHI-KANG, observing the effects of QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granuleon total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) andhigh-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).3. Observing the effects ofQING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule on aorta and coronary atherosclerotic plaque of domesticrabbits using naked-eyes and light microscope. Results:1. A hyperlipoidaemia model was successfully established using high-fat diet in domesticrabbits.2. QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule can significantly decreased the elevated level oftriglyceride (TG) and the effects of QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule were equal to thoseeffects of XUE-ZHI-KANG group.3. The effects of QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule on cholesterol, low density lipoproteincholesterol (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were not obvious.4. QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule delays the progression of aorta and coronaryatherosclerotic plaque of domestic rabbits.Conclusion:1. QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule can significantly decreased the level of triglyceride (TG).2. QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule has better effects of anti-atherosclerosis on domesticrabbits of hyperlipoidaemia.3. Mechanism of QING-ZHI-TONG-MAI granule could be by lowering blood lipid, reducingdamage of structure and function of endothelial cells lining blood vessels because of lipidmetabolic abnormalities, restoring the blood vessel endothelial function, and stabilizingatherosclerotic plaques, eventually the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis isrestrained or alleviated. |
