| Our research group has been studying on the chemical constituents and theirbioactivities of cimicifuga spp since2003. As a result, a series of triterpenoids withnotable in vitro or in vivo anti-tumor activities were isolated from different plants ofthe genus. In order to discover compounds with novel structures and potentialactivities, the roots of C.dahurica, which collected from Heilongjiiang Province, were used as experimental materials and36compounds were isolated and identifiedby combination of various chromatographic methods and morden spectroscopictechniques. Among the isolated compounds, including five new9,19-cyclolanostanetriterpenes and one new amide constituents. All the triterpenes can be categorized asCimigenol-type, Dahurinol-type, Asiaticol-type.Some of the isolated compounds were testd for their antimicrobial, antitumorand neural activities. However, none of them showed any bioactivities. At the end of this thesis, a comprehensive review about the distribution andutilization of the Cimicifuga genus worldwide, the structures of9,19-cyclolanostanetriterpenes and their anti-climacteric syndrome, anti-osteoporoticand anti-tumor activities were gave. |
