Mining is one of the pillar industries in China, and with the increasing scale of mining production, it outputs more and more mine tailings, then the tailings also will need more and more. The stability of the tailings or not has the serious influence on people’s personal safety and property safety in mining area, and tailings seepage line is regarded as the lifeblood of the tailings.Because of the material, the stability analysis of the tailings has very important practical significance.The tailings which located in Jiangxi Province of Yudu country Tieshanlong town, the right side of the mountain with a large number of people mining roadway, and during the rainy season in the region.According to Yangkeng mountain tailings practical engineering background, using the inversion software RES2DINV of high density electrical method and finite difference software FLAC3D to do related calculation and simulation and get the related conclusion, specific as follows:(1) Rational arrangement of the drilling survey points and electrical method survey lines,then to observe the electrical method data obtained and finishing the collected in the RES2DINV software, so as to generate electricity method section. Then drilling data is imported into the software of LIZHENG exploration to generate geological section to determine the position of saturation line, and use the position of the saturation line from electrical method in comparative analysis.(2)Through the comparative analysis of the high density electrical method and drilling results which get in the main body of the tailings are basically the same, so the height of saturation line getting from high density electrical method is generally meet the engineering requirements, but only as a preliminary to determine only, the final determined must combined with drilling data.(3)Comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of the dam body and the characteristics and the principle of the various analytical methods, the final determination is using FLAC3D which based on Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua to study the stability of the tailing dam.(4)Using CAD coordinate extraction tool to extract key point coordinate values from geological map,after finishing and then import in ANSYS10.0, by points generated line,lines forming surface, surfaces combination into body, finally, the formation of the geological model of the tailings; meshing different regions according to the actual engineering geological data, then use "ansys-to-flac3d" program import geological model into FLAC3D to do related operation.(5)Will tailings seepage line height continues to rise to0.5m, and then for different saturation line under the height of the results of numerical calculation for various analysis, combined with the instability of judging conditions, we get that the current tailings is in a stable state,but when the saturation line elevated1.5m the tailings is instability.(6) Puts forward related suggestions about the management of the tailings and related deficiencies of the present study will be described.
