Abstract:From the view of Chinese modern fiction development process,1930s Chinese modernist novels implicated by Japanese New Sensation and Western ideological trend, gradually transformed into symbolic modern texts. Among these, after absorbing literary trend, Shi Zhe Cun combined it with traditional Chinese writing style, not only had he shown the uniqueness of modern Chinese texts, he also deepened the writing of the psychology for the characters in fiction, had showed the modern psychological complexity and vast nature. In particular, Shi Zhe Cun’s urban fiction and historical novels during the medium phase of his writing extensively utilized psychological analysis to describe the main character’s spiritual path, filling the text space and the female body with imagination of desire. Writing from the perspective of Chinese men, the Shanghai and towns constituted the dual space of his novel’s character psychological growth, and the "Other" space is interpreted as the presence of female body alienation, fully shown the complexity, anxiety, and confusion of the modern city dweller’s multilayer mental activity, and sketched out a psychological modern city prototype picture. In addition, the author used double personality theory to reconstruct historical stories, hence leading to a drift of narrative characteristics. This text explored from the angle of desires how discourse in city shifted from a specific space to depicting symbolic narrative. The beginning of the article introduced Shanghai entering into a modern new era after development by colonists. The movies, commercials, books and pictorial context not only constructed people’s collective imagination of body language, but also provided Shi Zhe Cun creative space for fiction and female body. Then mainly according the space for text, analyze the self-corresponding "Other" space, and elaborate the narrative of space dominated by main consciousness. The epilogue is an analysis towards the imagination of the fictional female body, discussed from the specific description of female, how desire-carrying female body entered the process of symbolic writing.
