The Study On The Yu Chan

Yu Chan is a poet at the early stage of the Jin dynasty who has more poetries, he is also the only one taken the biography of Wen Yuan in Jin Shu in The Ying Chuan Family, he was named "the Distinguished person in Zhong Xing" with Cao Pi at the preface of Wen Yuan. His Landscape poetry, Poetry about immortals, Ode have more landscape scenery description, landscape combined to metaphysical ingredients, has been on the formation of landscape poetry marks, he made an outstanding contribution to landscape poetry development before XieLingyun.This paper consists of three parts:Introduction, main body and conclusion. Introduction section briefly summarizes the research status of the works of Yu Chan, it always has focused on his poetry, especially landscape poetry, but lacked of attention to his oeuvre. For this problem, this paper analyzes his poem and essay and ode. Text is divided into four chapters:The first chapter "the study on Yu Chan and Yu Family", studies Yu Chan and Yu Family respectively. The first section discusses the biography of Yu Chan, the second section discusses rise and fall, literary creation activities of Yu Family, it also discusses the influence which family learning has made on Yu Chan. The power and literary creation of the Family reached its peak in Jin dynasty, the thought both Confucian and Metaphysics have a great influence on Yu Chan’ideology and literary creation.The second chapter "the study on Yu Chan’poetry", his poetry is divided into four categories:Landscape poetry, Poetry about immortals, Memorial Poetry and Expedition Poetry, this paper discusses the four types one by one. And it summarizes the artistic features from the overall style and language features of his poetries. In the paper,it stands the scenery description in Yu Chan’poetry more and more, landscape combine with metaphysical, stressing antithesis and carving words, statement with more refinement.The third chapter "the study on Yu Chan’essay and ode", it has two chapters:the study on Yu Chan’essay and the study on Yu Chan’ ode, this chapter specifically analyzes his essays, carol, the campaign, proverb and ode to grasp the content, thought and artistic style of his works.The fourth chapter "the literature status of Yu Chan", the first section compares Yu Chan with Sun Chuo, a metaphysical poet, to emphasize increase in the scenery description and reduction of metaphysical; the second section compares Yu Chan with XieLingyun, a Landscape poet, to stress the shortcomings on aesthetic consciousness, details of the Scenery description, blend of emotion and scenery in Yu Chan’s landscape poetry; the first section discusses the cause of the appearance of landscape poetry in Dong Jin dynasty and the relationship between Landscape poetry and Metaphysical Poetry, in order to locate Objectively about Literary works. During this period, many poets has scenery description in their poetries, and the description technique is excellent, especially Yu Chan, the landscape description on the quantity and quality in his works is better and worth affirmation, he plays an important role in the development of landscape poetry.The conclusion part summarized the characteristics of Yu Chan’s works, it pointed out the status and effect of Yu Chan in the transition phase from Metaphysical Poetry to Landscape Poetry.
