Clinical Research On Jing Jiao Cream’s Therapy Efficacy Of Tinea Pedis (Excessive Damp-Heat Syndrome)

Purpose: To evaluate the clinical effect and safety of the treatment of tinea pedis(dampnessand heat syndrome) by the "jingjiao" creamMethod: Forty-eight patients of tinea pedis(dampness and heat syndrome) are randomdivided into the treatment group and the control group. Twenty-four patients in thetreatment group use the "jing jiao" cream, the left use the micronasole cream. Both areexternal use, twice a day,and observe it for 28 days as one course. In the same way, weexamine the blood and urine routine test, liver function(ALT、AST),kidney function(Bun、Cr)and the electrocardiogram. We observe the following index:1)the effect of thesymptom in west medicine; 2) mycology examine(test under microscope and cultivation)3)the effect of the TCM cultivation.Result: 1 The treatment to the tinea pedis is effective by the "jing jiao" cream.We approve itaccording to the evaluation of the therapeutic effect, mycology effect and the effect ofTCM.2 The comparison of the west medicine’s clinical experience between two groupsafter the treatment: Erythema:the reduction rate of the experimental group is 45.83％whilethat of the control group is 58.33％.There is no difference in stasis between two groups.Maceration and erosion: the reduction rate of the experimental group is 58.33％while thatof the control group is 62.50％.There is no difference in stasis between two groups.Scale:the reduction rate of the experimental group is 37.5％while that of the control group is62.50％.There is no difference in stasis between two groups. The control group is moreeffective than experimental group in diminishing the areas of the erythra and papulovesicle.There is no difference in stasis between two groups in lightening the extent of pruritus.3 To contrast of the two groups of mycology effect, micronasole is more effectivethan "jing jiao"cream both of the direct microscope examination(p=0.014) and thecultivation(P=0.001)4 Contrast of the effect of TCM between two groups: Experimental group:4 patientsgot completely recoveried,2 patients got obviously improved,16 patients got improved and2 patients got no improvement.The total reduction rate is 91.67％. Control group:7 patientsgot completely recoveried,5 patients got obviously improved,11 patients got improved and1 patients got no improvement.The total reduction rate is 95.83％. There is no difference instasis between two groups.5 Both of the medicine has a good safety.6 The pathogenic bacteria of tinea pedis (dampness and heat syndrome) is mostly ofthe trichophyton mentagrophytes and the trichophyton rubrum.Conclusion: The treatment to tinea pedis is safe and effective by the "jing jiao"cream,which has a similar effect to the micronasole. But the "jing jiao" cream has a moreextensive source of the raw material, and the price is more cheaper. It widens the prospectof the treatment to tinea pedis by the Chinese medicine and provide a new choice of thetreatment to tinea pedis in the clinic.
