Purpose: To investigate the relationship of HbA1c with hemoglobin andred blood cell under different glycemic status, and at the same time investigatethe factors that can influenced HbA1c levels in normal blood glucose anddiabetics group. Methods: Using multiple linear regression analysis of1659hospitalizedpatient’s and medical center’s data of The First Affiliated Hospital of GuangxiMedical University from January2013to January2014to analyzed differentfactors that can possibly influenced HbA1c such as age, sex, FBG, PBG-2h,hemoglobin, red blood cells, and so on, using HbA1c as dependent variable. Wedivided the group into three subgroups, the normal glucose group, impairedglucose regulation (IGR) group, and diabetic group. Results: The analysis showed significant correlation of age, FBG, PBG-2h and RBC with HbA1c (P<0.001) in normal glucose group; and significant correlation of FBG with HbA1c (P<0.05) in IGR group; significant correlationof FBG, PBG-2h and RBC with HbA1c (P<0.001) in diabetic group.Conclusion:1. FBG and HbA1c had a strong correlation. HbA1cincreases along with FBG in normal glucose group, IGR group and diabeticgroup;2. There was a positive correlation between PBG-2h and HbA1c;3. TheRBC can influenced HbA1c levels;4. With age, HbA1c may increase gradually. |
