Objective: The levels of plasma micropaticles (endothelial Microparticlesand platelet Microparticles) of patients with acute ischemic cerebrovasculardisease were investigated. Describe these active substances the significance androle in the occurrence and development of acute ischemic stroke.Methods:1.Subejects:84paitents with acute ischemic cerebrovacular disease wereenrolled in this trial,Who were admitted between March and December2013.Allthe patients were first-episode and the duration of disease within2weeks.Thepatients have the diseases such as inflammation, autoimmune diseases, blooddiseases, severe liver and kidney diseases, malignant tumors and cachexia wereprecluded. The control group included40patients with the followingcharacteristics: one or more cerebrovascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, high cholesterol, smoking and no history ofstroke, etc.2.Group: Eighty-four patients were studied and divided into two groupsbased on the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)score:52patients with mild stroke (NIHSS score≤5) and32patients withmoderate–severe stroke(NIHSS score≥6);Forty age-and sex-matched control subjects were also studied. Using flow cytometry, endothelial microparticles(EMPs):APC-CD144+and platelet microparticles(PMPs): PE-CD41a+wereanalyzed.3. Statistical Analysis: The statistical analysis was executed bySPSS16.0software,using chi-test, t-test,one-way anova and sperman rankcorrelation to analysis, statistically significant level was “α=0.05”.Results:1.Compared with the control group, case group has higer plasma level ofTCHO and HCY while the level of HDL-C is lower(P<0.05), and theremaining baseline data was no significant difference (P>0.05).2.Plasma levels of EMPs and PMPs in case group were higer than incontrol group(P<0.01).3. There was significant difference in plasma levels of EMPs, PMPs(P<0.05) between mild stroke patients and moderate to severe stroke patients. Thelevel of EMPs and PMPs in case group were positively correlated with theseverity of cerebral infarction respectively(P<0.01,r=0.617),(P<0.01,r=0.535).Conclusions:1.The plasma level of EMPs and PMPs in patients with acute ischemiccerebrovascular disease increased. There was positive correlation betweenTIMP-1and MMP-92. EMPs and PMPs may be involved in the occurrence and development ofacute ischemic cerebrovascular disease, which its, level may be used as anindicator to assess the patient’s condition.
