| Objectives The purposes of this study are to observe the analgesic effects of Auricular-plaster Therapy after Cesarean Section and its influences on their serum Cor and IL-6, thus to explore the correlation between them. Methods According to the inclusive criteria,108puerperae prepared for cesarean section at the obstetrical department of our hospital were randomly divided into3groups:group A of PCIA (n=36), group B of Auricular-plaster Therapy (n=36) and group C of Auricular-plaster Therapy with PCIA (n=36). Each intervention was lasting2days (48hours) after cesarean section. The three groups were compared with respected to the degree of incision pain (including rest pain and pain evoked by changing position In bed) at different times postoperatively and uterine cramping pain when the oxytocin infused after the surgery determined by means of visual analogue scale (VAS). The concentration of serum Cor and IL-6was measured preoperatively and postoperatively. Results (1) The VAS scores of incision pain:â‘ At6,12,24hours, group C was respectively lower than group A and B (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between group B and A (P>0.05).â‘¡At48hours, the defference among3groups was not statiscal (P>0.05).â‘¢The VAS scores had significant differences in group effect (P<0.05) and time effect (P<0.05), except interaction effect (P>0.05).(2) The VAS scores of uterine cramping pain:Group A was respectively higher than Group B and C (P<0.05); no significant difference was found between Group B and C (P>0.05).(3) The concentration of Cor and IL-6:1) comparison among groups:â‘ on the second morning after operation, group C was respectively lower than group A and B (P<0.05); but there was no significant difference between group B and A (P>0.05).â‘¡Compaired with group A and B, the change of group C was statiscal (P<0.05); but between group B and A, the change had no significant difference (P>0.05).2) Comparison in the group:â‘ the concentration of Cor of3groups was higher on the second morning after operation (P<0.05).â‘¡For group A and B, the IL-6level was higher on the second morning after operation (P<0.05), but the IL-6level of group C was slightly lower (.P>0.05).(4) The correlation between VAS scores and Cor, IL-6:on the second morning after operation, the VAS scores of pain was highly related to Cor (r=0.775, P<0.01) and moderately related to IL-6(r=0.599, P<0.01)Conclusion The Auricular-plaster Therapy can relive pain after cesarean section, especially the uterine cramping pain, which has some correlation with the decrease of concentration of serum Cor and IL-6. |
