Fluctuation And Significance Of Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cells In Peripheral Blood In Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective To explore the fluctuation of plasmacytoid dendritic cells(PDC)，cytokinesincluding INF-α、IL-23in peripheral blood in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.Methods Sixty-five RA patients，30normal individuals were enrolled in thestudy.Current classified criterias were fulfilled for all patients.All clinic andlaboratory data were collecteded.The enumeration of PDC in peripheral blood weremeasured by flowcytomerer.The concentration of INF-α、IL-23was detected usingELISA.All the data were analysed by SPSS19.0.Results The level of PDC in peripheral blood in patients decreased significantlycomparing with normal controls（0.182±0.104%vs0.424±0.121%，P<0.05).②Thelevel of PDC in peripheral blood in positive RF patients decreased significantlycomparing with negative RF patients(P<0.05).③The level of PDC in peripheral bloodin positive ACCP patients decreased significantly comparing with negative ACCPpatients(P<0.05).④It was founded that the enumeration of PDC in peripheral blood inRA with HAQ had no correlation(r2=0.16，P>0.05).⑤It was also founded that theenumeration of peripheral blood PDC in active RA patients with stable disease had nocorrelation（r2=0.18，P>0.05）.⑥The enumeration of PDC were not correlated withESR、CRP（r2=0.17，r2=0.009，P>0.05）.⑦The enumeration of PDC were notcorrelated with IgG（r2=0.21，r2=0.009，P>0.05）.⑧We still found RApatients secretedhigher INF-α、IL-23than normal controls（80.3±20.4ug/l vs30.6±15.4ug/l，81.7±24.3ug/l vs29.7±15.6ug/l，P<0.05）.⑨The enumeration of PDC were notcorrelated with INF-α、IL-23（r2=0.066，r2=0.007，P>0.05）Conclusion The enumeration of PDC were decreased in PB of RA.The enumerationof PDC were not correlated HAQ、DAS28、ESR、CRP.PDC may be the cause ofRA.Level of INF-α、IL-23in RA patients were significantly increased,but nocorrelation with the PDC level.
