Objective:To investigate the relation between the expression leve of heat stoke protein70, apoptosis level and PHG, and to study the the impact of variceal ligation on PHG.Methods:Gastric endoscopy was used to score the Gastric mucosal lesion in56Portal hypertension patients. Immunohistochemistry, Western blot and Real time-PCR were used to analyse the expression level of Hsp70. Variceal ligation was adopted for venous varices treatment, and the grades of PHG were revalued after2,6and14weeks, respectively. Hsp70expression level in gastric mucosa was analysed by Western blot,6or14weeks later.Results:â‘ 9of the total56Portal hypertension patients was not found with gastropathy, while the other47subjects was found with different grades of gastropathy (26patients for1score,15patients for2score,6patients for3score);â‘¡The Hsp70expression level was decreased as shown in immunohistochemistry, Western blot experiments, in grade III PHG, the down-regulation of Hsp70was significant and the down-regulation of Bxl and Casepase3, and the up-regulation of Bcl-2was also significant;â‘¢The grade of gastropathy after Variceal ligation was not different from before, while the Hsp70was down-regulated6weeks after ligation and up-regulated again14weeks later. Conclusion:The down-regulation of Hsp70and up-regulation of apoptosis was probably related to the mechanism of PHG occurrence. Esophageal vein EVL aggravate PHG in the short term, and led to the decrease of the Hsp70expression, and long-term results show that the contrast before and after EVL PHG there was no significant difference.
