Objective Review the results of the head CTA imaging to explore the relationship between age and the asymmetry of anterior cerebral artery, and explore the possible causes of the formation of this correlation.Method Selecting the line head CTA angiography patients from Xiangya Hospital, Ward38,examed between December2010and April2013, excluding the final diagnosis of anterior communicating artery aneurysm patients. Use three-dimensional reconstruction of CT-VRT head angiography to obtain the image. After that, measure the ratio of bilateral anterior cerebral artery A1。If anterior cerebral segment diameter of A1of one side of the brain/contralateral anterior cerebral A1segment diameter>2, we can determined the existence of the A1segment advantage. A1segment advantages include unilateral A1segment diameter less than1mm which means unilateral anterior cerebral artery A1segment dysplasia. The image fo unilateral A1segment does not develop means unilateral A1segment doesn’t develope. Compare all ages asymmetry of the anterior cerebral artery different rate. Results With increasing age, the asymmetry of the anterior cerebral artery increased gradually, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant. With increasing of age, the rate of the asymmetry of bilateral anterior cerebral artery A1segment increased, and the incidence of anterior communicating artery aneurysm increased gradually. Conclusion Age asymmetry rate of the bilateral anterior cerebral artery relationship with age, genetic factors on the basis of the acquired hemodynamic factors makes anterior cerebral artery asymmetric rate increased with age and growth; agethe anterior cerebral artery asymmetric growth rate also gradually increase the incidence of anterior communicating artery aneurysm.
