Objective:To investigate the relationship between OCD and polymorphisms of-238G/A and-308G/A in TNF-a in Chinese mainland Han population.Methods:161OCD patients and325controls were recruited in this study. The genotypic and allelic frequencies of TNF-a polymorphism at positions-238G/A (rs361525) and-308G/A (rs1800629) werebetween OCD group and control grou compared by PCR-RFLPResults:There was no significant difference was observed of-308G/A allelic,-238G/A genotypic and allelic frequencies in TNF-a between OCD and control individuals in Chinese mainland Han population while there was significantly different of-308G/A genotypic frequencies. There was a trend for an association in the genotypic frequencies of-308G/A of females between OCD patients and controls.Conclusions:TNF-a308G/A polymorphism may affect the development of OCD in Chinese mainland Han population. |
