Owing to the opening-up policy for foreign investment in hospitals, large numbers of foreign hospitals have established since1989. Thus, people have more options when seeking for medical treatment, which makes public hospitals faced with huge survival crisis. Therefore, how to improve the overall system to meet the needs of patients, and how to improve their evaluation towards hospitals are top priority of all public hospitals. Whaf s more, with the development of economy and the improvement of living standard, people have more requirements on medical treatment.By analyzing the current situation of patient’s satisfaction towards public hospitals and foreign hospitals and using the method of statistical analysis, this paper aims to discuss the cognitive difference of this situation and provide a scientific basis for improving the management as well as the service quality of public hospitals.With large amount of documentary reading as well as expert advice, a research paper on patient’s satisfaction towards public and foreign hospitals was accomplished. Being analyzed and compared by SPSS, the result, c the skills and attitude of medical staff, the facility of hospitals as well as the overall medical service quality, indicated that foreign hospitals were superior to public hospitals except for the nursing skills.This research found that the skills and attitude of medical staff, the facility of hospitals as well as the overall medical service quality were the main factors which affected patient’s satisfaction towards hospitals. This result can find the weak points of medical sectors and give suggestions on hospital management as well as put up with corrective measures.
