| Objective To systematically assess the effects on the prognosis ofinterval debulking surgery for advanced epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods We searched the Pubmedã€Cochrane Libraryã€Embaseã€CBMã€CNKIã€Wanfang database for studies of interval debulking surgery foradvanced ovarian cancer. According to the inclusion and exclusioncriteria,We screened studies and extracted data from included studies andevaluated the quality of included studies. The Meta-analysis was performedby the Revman5.0software. In our study,we calculate the incorporatedrelative risk (RR)and95%confidence interval(95%CI) of the includedstudies. Results Three RCTs were included in study,a total of781patients.The assessment of quality in three included studies were all gradeB.The Mata-analysis showed the risk of death in the5-year follow-up timewas no significant difference between IDS group and chemotherapygroup[RR=0.95,95%CI(0.86,1.04),p=0.24]. Also the risk of progression in the5-year follow-up time was no significant difference between twogroups[RR=0.95,95%CI(0.80,1.13),p=0.55]. Rates of toxic reactions tochemotherapy were similar in both arms[RR=1.23,95%CI(0.42-3.56),p=0.71]Conclusion Interval debulking surgery can not improve the prognosisof patients with advanced ovarian cancer. The conclusions need to beconfirmed by the high-quality clinical researches because of the limitedquantity of the included studies. |
