| Objective:To study the distribution characteristic of TCM syndrome and pathology of patients with colorectal polyps. We compared whether there is a difference between the lipid levels of different TCM syndrome types and analysed whether the lipid levels affect the incidence and development of colorectal adenoma. Then we can provide the reference for the syndrome differentiation prevention and treatment of colorectal polyps.Method:We enrolled120patients with colorectal polyps of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of TCM,Department of Gastroenterolgy from March2010to October2012. Then we made the statistics analyse according to the data of the gender, age, total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),colonoscopy report.Result:120patients were enrolled to our study,63man(53%),and57woman(47%).The ratio of men and women was1.11:1. The age is from12to85, the average age is55.23±14.62. Normal lipid had7cases (5.83%), dyslipidemia113cases (94.17%); four indicators (x±s):TC (5.05±1.61), TG (1.65±0.89), HDL-C (1.14±0.35), LDL-C (3.43±0.85).1.More associated with colorectal polyps in patients with dyslipidemia, but no obvious correlation with the level of blood lipid levels.2.There are four TCM syndrome types of colon polyps:Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis type56cases (31.7%)ã€Wetness-heat with blood stasis type38cases (31.7%)ã€Liver depression and Spleen-asthenia type19cases (15.8%)ã€Spleen and Kidney yang-deficiency type7cases (5.8%). Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis type and Wetness-heat with blood stasis type are more common.3.The pathological type of colon polyps:71adenomatous polyps,49non-adenomatous polyps. And the adenomatous-polyp is more common.4.There is no significant difference between the TCM syndrome and the pathological type (p>0.05).5.The distribution of TCM syndrome and pathological type is not stastical significant amoge different age groups(p>0.05).6.The distribution of TCM syndrome and pathological type is not stastical significant amoge men and women(p>0.05).7.The relationship between TCM syndrome and blood lipid:the level of TC and HDL-C has a significant difference among different TCM syndrome groups(p<0.05),the level of LDL-C and TG has no significant difference(P>0.05).8.The relationship between pathological type and blood lipid:the level of TCã€LDL-C and TG has a significant difference among different pathological type groups(p<0.05),but the level of HDL-C has no stastically significant difference(p>0.05).9.The relationship between adenomatous polyps and blood lipid:three types of adenomatous polyps are tubular adenoma, tubular adenoma with hyperplasia and villous tubular adenoma. These pathological types have no stastical relationship with the level of TCã€HDL-C〠LDL-Cã€TG.Conclusion:There are four TCM syndrome of colorectal polyps:Spleen-asthenia with blood stasis typeã€Wetness-heat with blood stasis typeã€Liver depression and Spleen-asthenia type. The level of TC is more higher in the Wetness-heat with blood stasis type than the others; The level of HDL-C is more higher in the Spleen and Kidney yang-deficiency type; The level of LDL-C and TG have no significant difference among different TCM syndrome. The adenomatous polyps is more common than non-adenomatous polyps. The level of TG and LDL-C is more higher in the adenomatous polyps groups than the other; The level of TC is more higher in the non-adenomatous polyps groups than the other. But the level of HDL-C doesn’t have such difference between adenomatous polyps groups and the non-adenomatous polyps groups.Tubular adenoma, tubular adenoma with hyperplasia and villous tubular adenoma, these pathological types have no stastical relationship with the level of TCã€HDL-Cã€LDL-Cã€TGThis suggests that the blood lipid doesn’t play a role in the the incidence and development of colorectal adenoma. |
