Objective The purpose of this study is to investigate the expressionof breast cancer stem cell maker ALDH1~+and CD44~+/CD24~-in molecularsubtypes and clinical significance, and compare the two markers’differencein Disease~-free survivals. Methods The203cases of breast caner were divided into fivemolecular subtypes according to the immunological markers (ER、PR、HER~-2and Ki67), which were Luminal A,Luminal B (Her2~-),LuminalB(HER2~+),HER~-2,Triple negativesubtype.Double~-staining immunohistoc~-hemistry(IHC) and single~-staining IHC were applied for the203breastcancer patients.to detect the203patients who did not receive radiotherapyand chemotherapy in breast cancer patients tumor tissue overlappingexpression ALDH1~+,CD44~+/CD24~-phenotype.And using statisticalmethods to compare the differences in clinical factors, disease~-free survivaland others. Results In the203cases of breast cancer,39cases of Luminal A type(19%);90cases of Luminal B (HER2~-) type (44%);21cases ofLuminal B (HER2~+) type (10%);22cases of HER2~-type (11%);31cases of Triple negative type (15%).20cases of ALDH1expression positive(10%), mainly of HER~-2type (20%) and the Triple negative type (40%)was high expression, overlapping expression of ALDH1~+/CD44~+/CD24~-table type to5.4%, mainly exist in HER~-2(18.2%) type and Triple negativtype (45.5%), the pathological type of invasive ductal carcinoma,2~-yeardisease~-free survival rate than other phenotypes (P <0.05).Conclusions Only a small part of the breast cancer patientsexpression ALDH1~+/CD44~+/CD24~-/lowphenotype and mainly in Triplenegative type, pathological type of invasive ductal, the2~-year disease~-freesurvival rate is lower. ALDH1~+and CD44~+/CD24~-may mark differentlevels and differentiation of breast cancer stem cells, future complementaryimmunohistochemical techniques to detect ALDH1~+and CD44~+/CD24~-possible to predict patient prognosis.
