Cardiovascular disease has been one of the major disease threats tohuman health, and age is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Associal aging population, cardiovascular disease has been the main reason ofhuman death, has became the global burden. Explore the pathogenesis ofthis aging-related disease is one of the main objects of life sciencesresearch. Currently, numerous studies have proved that vertebrate Sirtuins(SIRT) is a very important anti-aging protein factor, which displayNAD+-dependent histone/non-histone deacetylases activity and adenosinediphosphate (ADP)-ribosyltransferases activity,and recent study foundthey have demalonylase and desuccinylase activity, all of these activitiescan be able to directly and indirectly effect on the cardiovascular system.The protein factor is regarded as the new target for the prevention andtreatment of cardiovascular disease, and the research to the role ofanti-aging cardiovascular disease is gradually further elucidation. This review will elaborate the progress of Sirtuins anti-aging relatedcardiovascular disease research.
