The Value Of The Real Time Mammotome Biopsy Under The Guidance Of A Mammography In Breast Calcified Lesions

ObjectiveTo explore the value of the real time mammotome biopsy under theguidance of a mammography in breast calcified lesions.Methods42patients of our hospital from January2011to February2012, with44mammary gland calcification cases were analyzed retrospectively,which adopted the real time mammotome biopsy under the guidance of amammography (2patients with bilateral lesions), and the44breast lesionssamples from42patients were diagnosed via paraffin wax pathologicalcheck.ResultsUnder the44lesions, there were34cases were benign lesions, whichincluded27mastopathy,2fibroadenoma,1lipoma,1cyst, the other3arebenign lesions,10breast cancer (a benign lesion after surgical resectiondiagnosed breast cancer).32cases of benign lesions, accounting for76.2% of all lesions,10cases of breast cancer，accounts for23.8%of cases.Intraoperation all showed that lesions completely have been resectioned,malignant lesions then given treatment such as modified radicalmastectomy、chemotherapy and so on. A single lesion resection would takeabout20minutes. After3months follow-up, patients which were followedup have not found apparently unusual.ConclusionThrough the qualitative diagnosis of real time mammotome biopsyunder the guidance of a mammography in breast calcified lesions, we canget early breast cancer diagnosis. Thus, early found， diagnosis andtreatment can be made to improve the living quality and survival time ofthese patients. It is more important to detect early breast cancer which wasconsidered benign lesions clinically. The real time mammotome biopsyunder the guidance of a mammography in breast calcified lesions is easyoperation, accurate position and less complication, which is the preferredmethod in mammary gland calcification， especially suspicious lesions ofmalignant calcification.
