Relationship Between The Expression Of HRAS And HMGA1and Tumor Invasion In Pituitary Adenomas | Posted on:2014-05-03 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:R Zhu | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2254330425454224 | Subject:Surgery | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective:To investigate the expression levels of V-Ha-Ras HarveyRat Sarcoma Viral Oncogene Homolog(HRAS) and High Mobility GroupAT-hook1(HMGA1)in the pituitary adenomas and their relationshipswith tumor invasion in human pituitary adenomas.iMethod:sixty specimens of pituitary adenomas were classified intoinvasive and non-invasive groups according to the comprehensiveevaluation of invasive pituitary adenoma. The protein and mRNAexpression levels of HRAS and HMGA1were detected usingimmunohistochemistry assayã€western blot assay and reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)assay,respectively.Results:There were twenty-eight cases of invasive pituitary adenomasand32cases of non-invasive ones in total60specimens.The protein andmRNA expression levels of HRAS were significantly higher in invasivegroup than that in non-invasive group (P<0.05).The protein and mRNAexpression levels of HMGA1were significantly higher in invasive groupthan that in non-invasive group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The present findings suggest that up-regulation of HRASand HMGA1can contribute to tumor invasion in human pituitaryadenomas. | Keywords/Search Tags: | HRAS, HMGA1, Pituitary adenoma, Tumor invasion | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
