| OBJECTIVES: The linear parameters of the lower cervical pe-dicles weremea-sured and compared under CT scanning in Hanã€Kazakhs and Uygur populati-on inXinJiang Autonomous Region. METHODES: The cervic-al pedicles from C3to C7werescanned in1mm for150individuals (50Hanã€50Kazakhsã€50Uygur) via GE light speed64layers CT scanner. The par-ameters were sent into computer software (GE AdvantageWorkstation4.2) and processed by multiplanar reformation (MPR). All the data abovewere proces-sed by the software of SPSS17.0.RESULTS: the data of anatomy processedb-y the SPSS17.0system, The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05), We coulddraw the conclusion that there was a difference on the same cervical se-gments in Hanã€Kazakhs and Uygur. In the female, there were some signific-ant difference in PH(C3~C7)ã€PW(C3~C6)ã€MSL(C3~C7)ã€PL (C3~C7)ã€SART(C6~C7)ã€SARS(C3ã€C5ã€C6ã€C7)between the three ethnic groups In the male, there were some significantdifference in PH(C3~C7)ã€PW(C3ã€C4ã€C5)ã€MSL(C3~C7)ã€PL(C3~C7)ã€SART(C5~C7)ã€SARS(C5) betwe-en the three ethnic groups. There was no significant differenceamong other linear parameters of the cervical pedicle. The age compared no significantin our groups. CONCLUSION: For the individual anatomic and mor-phologicalappearance of lower cervical pedicle varied a lot, we suggest that it is necessary to carryout CT examnation, including X-ray, and then measure precisely before transpedicularscrew fixation. |
