Objective:Lung cancer is one of the highest morbidity and mortality of cancer in the world, and is a rising trend. Although the surgery,chemotherapy and radiation, and other comprehensive treatment, patients with lung cancer survival rates is not ideal, the overall5-year survival rate lower than14%. So the medical profession hope to find a new diagnostic index and treatment, can more effectively improve the lung cancer and lung cancer diagnosis of the effective treatment, to extend the patient’s survival. In the process of the development of tumor, and the tumor abnormal genes before morphological change, so high incidence, specificity strong screening of abnormal genes and in view of the abnormal genes targeting treatment strategies to diagnose lung cancer is expected to become the new methods and effective treatment. Oct4gene is early embryonic development with the specificity of the gene, contain specific role plays a transcription factor, its main effect is activated gene expression, or inhibit that regulate gene expression. In embryonic development process, the regulation of gene can ensure organization and orderly differentiation, and promote the development of the individual, Oct4protein in the expression of cancer cells embryonic genes suggests the activation may exist in cancerous tissue cells process, so, the Oct4protein non-small cell lung cancer in the expression, discussed the expression and the small cell lung cancer patients age, gender and pathologic types, stages, lymph node metastasis, differentiation degree and prognosis of the relationship, for clinical non-small cell lung cancer diagnosis and effective treatment for reference. Methods:The third military medical university randomly selected the second affiliated hospital in July2000to July2002surgical removal of the primary non-small cell lung cancer specimen91cases were randomly selected normal lung tissue samples from the autopsy17patients, the super sensitive S-P immunohistochemical method, test specimen Oct4appeal of protein expression. Results:In non-small cell lung cancer tissue samples, Oct4abnormal protein expression rate was73.5%, the normal lung tissue samples Oct4protein expression of the abnormal rate was0%, the difference between a statistically significant (p<0.05). In non-small cell lung cancer tissue samples Oct4protein expression rate with age, sex, T stage irrelevant (p>0.05). In the non-small cell lung cancer pathological and histological types in different, Oct4abnormal protein expression rate Respectively is:adenocarcinoma83.0%, squamous cell carcinoma in75.0%, and there were no statistically significant (p>0.05). The52cases with lymph node metastasis of positive non-small cell lung cancer cases Oct4abnormal protein expression rate is higher than96.2%, and the small non-small cell lung cancer rcases of lymph node metastasis negative cases (abnormal expression rate is74.4%), and the difference between them are statistically significant (p<0.05). In different differentiation degree non-small cell lung cancer cells, Oct4abnormal protein expression rate respectively is: high in the cancer cell differentiation,75.6%, low differentiated cancer cells to100%, a statistically significant (P<0.05). In non-small cell lung cancer samples Oct4high protein expression and Oct4low protein expression of surial difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:1. Oct4protein in non-small cell lung cancer tissues, but in normal expression in the lung tissue without expression.Tip Oct4protein expression and non-small cell lung cancer, is expected to become close non-small cell lung cancer diagnosis and differential diagnosis of index indexes.2. Oct4protein in non-small cell lung cancer with the expression of non-small cell lung cancer with age, sex, patient T stage, histologic type is no obvious related, tip:Oct4gene in non-small cell lung cancer in the process of cancerous activated, and Oct4protein expression is a basic expression.3. Oct4protein expression and the small cell lung cancer lymph node metastasis, organization differentiation degree, a positive correlation between the prognosis, tip Oct4protein expression can be used as evaluation non-small cell lung cancer prognosis index.
