Objective:To explore the status of occupational stress and influencing factors among miners of an iron and steel cooperation, and further provide information for scientific and reasonable intervention methods.Methods:Stratified-sampling method was used to select759miners from an iron and steel cooperation. Self-designed questionnaire was used to collect the information including demographic characterizations, life style, physical condition, occupational history, working system, and hobbies, occupational stress inventory-revised edition(OSI-R) was used to evaluate the status of occupation stress status.Results:When compare with the occupational stress norm of Southwest China group,higher scores were seen in occupational role questionnaire(ORQ), role insufficiency(RI), role ambiguity(RA), role boundary(RB), physical environment (PE), personal strain questionnaire(PSQ), vocational strain(VS), psychological strain(PSY), interpersonal strain(IS), and physical strain(PHS), while lower scores were seen in role overload(RO), responsibility(R), personal resources questionnaire(PRQ), recreation(RE), self-care(SC), social support(SS), and rational/cognitive(RC).When compared with the occupational stress norm of Southwest China group,34.9%of the workers were shown to live with medium or high level of occupational stress status,80.1%of the workers lived with medium or high tension responses, and24.4%were of medium or high level of lack response resources. Multi-factor analysis showed that the factors which influence the tasks include gender, executive position, noise exposure, entertainment, work intensity, and level of fatigue; the factors influence response resources include body mass index, social status, and satisfaction about salary, sleep time, and physical activity.Multi-liner regression was used to evaluate the association between ORQ or PRQ and PSQ, and the result showed that ORQ was positively associated with PSQ, while PRQ was negatively associated with PSQ. With regard to PSQ, the contribution of ORQ was higher than PRQ.Conclusions:Occupation stress status was relatively common among miners in this cooperation. Gender, executive position, duration of noise exposure, night shift, hobbies, entertainment, work intensity, level of fatigue, family members, duration of smoke, sleep time, and physical activity were influence factors of occupational stress. Strengthen the working environment protection and workers’ psychological counseling, as well as the improvement of workers’participation in enterprise management, encourage workers to participate entertainment, and raise hobbies may relief workers of occupational stress. |
