Methods:Fascin-1is involved in cell adhesion, mobile and signal transductionactin-binding protein, which is mainly in the cytoplasm and the correspondingactin-binding, the formation the pseudopodia and micro spine and the surface of thecell membrane structure in order to improvecell migration, the protein regulation byregulation in many ways. In vitro experiments showed Fascin-1overexpressionincreased tumor invasion and metastasis, and inhibit Fascin-1inhibition of tumorinvasion and metastasis, studies have shown that Fascin-1in normal epithelial tissueor low expression, and in part of the solid tumor positive expression was a certainrelationship with the prognosis of patients. Domestic Fascin-1expression in gastriccancer clinical research rare, so this experiment Fascin-1expression in79cases ofgastric cancer specimens by immunohistochemical methods, combined with clinicalpathological features, in order to find Fascin-1expression in gastric cancer and itssignificance.Results:In79cases of gastric cancer specimens,19specimens fascin-1expressionwas positive (24%), of which15were positive (1+)(19.0%) were strongly positive (2+)(5.1%). Combined with clinical and pathological data statistical analysis, we foundthat Fascin-1expression is no significant difference in the patient’s gender (P=0.081),in age (P=0.531). Rank sum test, we found that with the increase of the TNMstaging of patients Fascin-1expression was expressing significant difference (P=0.02), and Fascin-1expression in tumor differentiation (P=0.848), regional lymphnode metastasis (P=0.161) and the degree of serosal invasion (P=0.105)was nosignificant difference. Also in the Ming tumor’s sub-type (P=0.668), Ki67percentage (P=0.125) and vascular invasion (P=0.746) Fascin-1expression wasalso no significant difference. Conclusion:1.Fascin-1protein expression in gastric cancer cell cytoplasm, itsmainly in the cytoplasm with the corresponding muscle actin combined formpseudopodia and micro spine, and the surface of the cell membrane structure wasconsistent with the function.2.Fascin-1expression in different TNM staging of gastric cancer patients there wasa significant difference, promotes the relationship with carcinoma distant metastasis。...
