Objective We compared and analyzed the variances of clinieal features, complicationsand comorbidities between patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis, alcoholic liver cirrhosis andthose with primary biliary cirrhosis. It is aimed to explore the different tendeney of treatmentfor the three diseases.Materials and Methods Admission data of patients with cirrhosis in the GeneralHospital of Ningxia Medical University, form April2002to April2012, of which358cases ofhepatitis B cirrhosis (HBC),135patients of alcoholic liver cirrhosis (ALC) and180cases ofprimary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) were collected. Sex, age, ethnicity, occupation, clinicalmanifestations, endoscopy results, complications and comorbidities were compared.Results1、HBC and ALC group are predominantly men, women accounted for the vast majority ofthe PBC group. The average age of the PBC group was older than the HBC and ALC group, the difference was statistically significant (P=0.002and P=0.004), respectively, there are nostatistical difference between HBC and ALC groups (P=0.670). In our region, hannationality with high disease rates, the ALC morbidity of hui people is low, the ALCmorbidity of the Mongolian was higher than others. In the majority of HBC group withfarmers and workers, cadres and merchant accounts for a bigger proportion of ALC group.2、Compared with HBC, ALC and PBC group, the incidence of anorexia, abdominal pain, edema, liver palm were no statistical differences. But the incidence of fatigue, jaundice, skinitching, abdominal distension, spider nevus, spleen enlargement, hematemesis, hematochezia, and mental symptoms, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). 3、Comparing the incidence of peptic ulcer with the three liver cirrhosis: the incidence ofduodenum ulcer was no statistical difference between the three groups, there was statisticaldifference between the incidence of gastric ulcer in three groups. Comparing three kinds ofliver cirrhosis portal hypertension case show that the incidence of portal hypertensiongastropathy was no statistical difference, the incidence of esophageal gastric varices wasstatistical difference between three groups.4、The incidence of infection and hepatorenal syndrome ware no statistical differences inthree groups of liver cirrhosis (P=0.097and P=0.346). The incidence of uppergastrointestinal bleeding, primary liver cancer, hepatic encephalopathy, spontaneousperitonitis ware statistical differences (P <0.05).5、The incidence of fatty liver, gallstones, pancreatitis, diabetes, thyroid disease anddiffuse connective tissue disease were statistical differences between three types of livercirrhosis group(P <0.05).Conclusion1、The incidence of hematemesis, hematochezia, splenomegaly of HBC were significantlyhigher than ALC and PBC. Comparing the incidence of spider nevus and mental symptoms, show that ALC was higher than HBC and PBC. The incidence of fatigue and skin itching ofPBC was higher than HBC and ALC. Compared with the incidence of abdominal distensionand ascites, HBC and ALC were higher than PBC. The incidence of liver cirrhosis patientswith jaundice was PBC> ALC> HBC.2、ALC with a higher rate of incidence of gastric ulcer than HBC and PBC, comparing theincidence of esophageal gastric varices, HBC was higher than ALC and PBC.3、The incidence of upper gastrointestinal bleeding with HBC was obviously higher thanthat of ALC and PBC. The incidence of hepatic encephalopathy with ALC was significantlyhigher than these in HBC and PBC. Comparing the incidence of primary liver cancer showthat: HBC> ALC> PBC, the incidence of spontaneous peritonitis was ALC> HBC> PBC. 4、Comparing the incidence of fatty liver, gallstones, pancreatitis and diabetes mellitus,ALC were higher than HBC and PBC. The incidence of diffuse connective tissue disease withPBC was obviously higher than HBC and ALC. in addition, PBC with a higher rate ofincidence of thyroid disease than the HBC.5、Clinieal features, complications and comorbidities were the main important varianceamong the three groups, which guided us to give different tendency of prophylaxis andtreatment so as to reduce the morbidity.
