Objective1. Inspections on expression of c-FLIP and p53in gastric cancer tissues and adjacenttissues of the patients;2. Access to the relationship between the expression and clinical-pathological factorsc-FLIP and p53, and discuss whether it can be the indicator for after-operationjudgment;3. Elaboration on relativity on expression of c-FLIP and p53of the patients;4. Comprehensive analysis on the influence of c-FLIP and p53over the developmentperiods;5. Discussion on whether it can provide the evidence for a new type of targetedtherapyMethods1. Select pathologically gastric-cancer-confirmed58cases randomly which haveundertaken surgical resection from the Affiliated Hospital of Yan’an Universityfrom January2011to April2012, and rely on SABC method ofimmunohistochemistry to inspect expression of c-FLIP and p53in the selectedtargets namely cancer tissues and normal adjacent tissues (5cm from the cancertissues).2. Collect general demographic, clinical and pathological features of selectedpatients hrough consulting medical records. 3. Conduct statistical analysis through statistics analyzing software SPSS17.0:compare the positive expression rate of c-FLIP and p53in different tissuesthrough the chi-square test; analyze the expression relativity of c-FLIP and p53through Spearman rank correlation method.Results1. The positive rate of c-FLIP in gastric cancer tissues and adjacent tissues are97.9%and60.3%respectively, and there emerges a profound difference(2=11.510,P<0.01), suggesting an increase of c-FLIP expression in gastric cancer tissues.2. The positive rate of p53in gastric cancer tissues and adjacent tissues are67.2%and36.2%respectively, and there emerges a profound difference(2=11.186,P<0.01), suggesting an increase of p53expression in gastric cancer tissues.3. The expression of c-FLIP in gastric cancer has no clear relativity with gender, age, places of tumor and degree of differentiation(P>0.05), but with lymph nodemetastasis, depth of infiltration and TNM stages(P <0.05).4.The expression of p53in gastric cancer has no clear relativity with gender, age, degree of differentiation and TNM stages(P>0.05), but with places of tumor, lymph node metastasis and depth of infiltration(P <0.05).5. The expression of c-FLIP and p53in gastric cancer is in positive correlation(RS'=0.418,P=0.001).Conclusion1. The expression of c-FLIP and p53in gastric cancer tissues is clearly over that ofthe adjacent tissues, that indicating they may involve in the development of gastriccancer.2.The expression of c-FLIP in gastric cancer tissues has relativity with places oftumor, lymph node metastasis, depth of infiltration and TNM stages, indicating ahigh malignancy and malfunction after the operation. 3. The expression of p53in gastric cancer tissues has relativity with places of tumor, lymph node metastasis and depth of infiltration, indicating a high malignancy andmalfunction after the operation. The expression of p53has relativity with places oftumor, indicating the tumor may have a different pathogenesis in sinuses ventriculiand cardia.4. The expression of c-FLIP and p53in gastric cancer is in positive correlation, indicating the two may emerge synergistic effect in the development of gastriccancer. It is of importance to co-inspect the impacts of expression on theevaluation of disease state, judgment after operations and treatment guideline.
