Objectives: This paper is to describe the quality of life (QOL), social supportand selfcare degree and discuss the correlation in patients with MaintenanceHemodialysis, and explore how to improve patients’ QOL, and provide scientificbasis for improving the QOL of patients with Maintenance Hemodialysis.Methods: A cross-sectional design is used in this study. The directly survey ofthe patients who have accepted more than3months of hemodilaysis in Jiangxi Statehospital with SF-36, SSRS, Selfcare. All data is analyzed in excel data by softwareSPSS17.0.Results:⑴Male hemodialysis patients score higher than female patients inbodily pain and health transition(p<0.05); patients who are hemodialysis sufferingfrom complication more than female patients(z=-2.045, p=0.041<0.05; t=-2.110, p=0.035<0.05); Patients with no complications score higher than the complications inthe QOL(p <0.05); Married patients score higher than the widowed and divorcedpeople in health transition(p <0.05); Hemodialysis patients who receive dialysis morethan10years score lower than other groups in social functioning、health transition、vitality、physical functioning (p<0.05); New Rural Co-operative Medicalpatientsscore higher than other groups in physical functioning(p <0.05). The elderlyhemodialysis patients score lower than other patients in physical functioning andVitality (p<0.05).⑵The QOL of Maintenance Hemodialysis patients is positive correlated withSubjective support, objective support, utilization of social support, scores of averagesocial support, selfcare degree,however,there is negtive correlated with the HT; thereis not correlated with age.⑶The Maintenance Hemodialysis patients’ social support is basically atmedium level, which percentage is78.2%; Patients who get high level social supportis better than the other group in social functioning(p <0.05).⑷Among Maintenance Hemodialysis,62%patients are complete selfcare,38%patients are incomplete selfcare. The complete selfcare patients score higher than the other (p <0.05).⑸The result of multiple linear regressiona demonstrate that age、selfcaredegree、utilization of social support are the most important determinants of the QOLand MCS; Selfcare degree is the most important determinants of the PCS; genderrole、 marriage relation、selfcare degree are the most important determinants of theHT.Conclusion:⑴The higher selfcare degree and the lower complication and themore utilization of social support the patients get, the better QOL they will have.⑵We should provide more social support for the maintenance Hemodialysiswho are women, the complications, the divorced or widowed, and the one who hasmore than10years of Hemodialysis.(3)The patients should be guided to exercise scientifically to improve theirselfcare ability.
