In the thesis, three different varieties of maize were selected for the research objects:big-ear corn Ningyul2, middle-ear Zhengdal2and small-ear Xiangyu335.By using split-plot experimental method, considering density as the main factors. The reasonable community structure of different types of corn, the impact of the density and other main factors of their yield have been analyzed. The effect of the growth regulators on lodging and yield of the corn has also been explored. At last, the detailed explanation of the effect on community structure and density of the different types of corn varieties, proper planting density and high yield traits of the different corn varieties have been concluded. The main results are as follows:1. Plant height, ear height, ear height coefficient, dry matter accumulation, LAI, bald degrees and lodging show an increasing trend. But the individual dry matter accumulation and leaf area stem diameter, ear diameter, row per ear, kernels per row and hundred kernel weights decreased. Density has a profound influence on plant height, ear height and internodes length of middle-ear maize. Base stem diameter, ear length and Pn of the big-ear corn were the most sensitive to the change of density in the three varieties.2. Effect of density on lodging showed:big-ear corn> middle-ear com> small-ear maize. For ear rows of small-ear corn, it was affected most by density, and middle-ear corn. Effect of density on kernels per row showed:middle-ear corn> big-ear corn> small-ear corn. Density was the main factor affecting different types of corn varieties, and yield components that impacted on yield were different along with different corn varieties. Among them, the big-ear corn were affected by ear length> hundred kernel weigh, density-ear corn were showed hundred kernel weights> ear length.3. Planting’s tolerance of density in this three different types of corn were showed small-ear corn> middle-ear corn> big-ear corn. But they can get a good yield at a reasonable population structure. Yield of big-ear maize was highest at4500stains/666.7m2.Middle-ear corn was5500strains/666.7m2. small-ear corn was6000strains/666.7m2.Their yield are1170.7kg/666.7m2,1191.2kg/666.7m2,1268.1kg/666.7m2.4.4.The comprehensive analysis showed:Ningyul2’s reasonable planting density was in4500stains/666.7m2-5000stains/666.7m2. But it needs to spray cycocel on the leaves at ten-leaf stage to reduce the lodging and maximizing of its yield potential. Zhengdal2was in5500stains/666.7m2-6000stains/666.7m2. Xianyu335was in aboat6000stains/666.7m2.
