This study focused on the scientific feasibility of floating-moisture seedling method by compared it to the common floating seedling system. The basis of floating-moisture seedling method was to combine the common floating seedling method and the moisture seedling method together, integrate the advantages of the two seedling method. The new seedling method overcame the disadvantages of weak drought resistance of floating seedling system, and the problems of irregular germinating and labor-consuming of moisture seedling method. The main results were concluded below.1. We applied the experiments of floating-moisture seedling method by comparing with the common floating seedling method. The results showed that the seedling root activity, nitrate reductase activity using floating-moisture seedling method were much better than the control.2. The different planting period and moisture period were also studied using the control of conventional seedling method comparatively with four treatment of different seedling period (with stem height of3cm,6cm,8cm and10cm) and four different transplanting periods (with stem height of6cm,8cm,10cm and12cm). The results showed that seedlings showed the best performance with moist treatment at the time of45days after germination and with transplanting at the time of14days after moist treatment. Considering the cost of actual production, it was recommended that moist treatment at the time of55days after germination and transplanting at the time of14days after moist treatment could shorten the seedling period and improves drought resistance ability.3. We further improved the theoretical basis of floating-moisture seedling method by applying different moisture conditions, fertilizer concentrations and diversity of leaf-cutting periods. The results showed that drought resistance ability of floating-moisture seedlings were significantly better than conventional floating seedlings. The fertilizer concentrations and different leaf-cutting time could affect seedling physiological characteristics.4. The comparative field transplanting results showed that:the recovery ability of floating-moisture seedling was significantly better than the conventional floating seedling. These results indicated that the floating-moisture seedling had the excellent drought tolerance and soil adaptability. Besides, the production and field value by using the method of floating-moisture seedling were also increased, indicating that floating-moisture seedling had better usage value and economic benefits.
