The technique has been large scale applied in practical pig production because of the great progress of boar semen storage within30years. Boar semen can only be stored under liquid situation and got high conception rate after AI because of its special physiological characteristics. Because sperm keeps on relatively high activity during stored in liquid situation, its life-span and fertility shall decrease as storage. This makes it important for evaluation of liquid semen quality during storage. The aim of the study is to provide some experiences for other’s work by testing semen diluted by different extenders with different additives and stored under different temperature. Three different extenders and three different temperature were used in the test and sperm viability, motility, membrane integrity rate, acrosomal integrity rate were evaluated and CAT, T-AOC and MDA were assayed. All these information were used in the evaluation of semen quality after7-day storage. The results were as following:1. extenderl showed worst result among three extenders(p<0.05) from the third day of storage. As the membrane integrity rate the boar sperm curve tail dropped below60%when which was diluted by extenderl after1-day storage and sharply dropped after3-day storage. For the extender2and extender3the boar sperm curve tail dropped below60%only after4-day storage. As acrosomal integrity rate there were no significant differences among three extenders (p>0.05).2. the study showed that the viable sperm, membrane integrity rate and acrosomal integrity rate and the concentrations of CAT, T-AOC were sharply dropped and the MDA rose significantly at first and then kept smooth when boar semen were stored under8℃. During boar semen stored under the17℃and25℃there were also dropping tendencies on the viable sperm, membrane integrity rate and acrosomal integrity rate and the concentrations of CAT, T-AOC and the MDA rose, but these tendencies were slow and gentle. These evidencies indicated that low temperature might negetively affect the physiology and biochemistry of sperm.3. the additives of PVA, PVP, CMC and SA were tested in the boar semen extenders. The results showed that these four additives all had certaim positive function on above indexes. For the indexes of viable sperm and sperm motility,0.2%,0.4%and0.6%of PVA could enhance the effect of boar semen storage and0.4%of showed best result among the three group; the results of testing PVP were the same as in the PVA;0.3%,0.4%and0.5%of CMC showed positive results to the boar semen storage when which were added into the extenders and0.4%of CMC was also showed best effect; the results of0.2%,0.3%and0.4%of SA were similar as in the CMC and0.4%of SA was also showed best function.4. in the test of replacing BSA by the5%,10%and15%of pig blood plasma, the results showed no significant differences among5%of BSA from three group of pig blood plasma.
