In recent years, with the development of soilless cultivation technology and ultrasonic atomization technology, aeroponics culture technology has become one of the hot topic in the soilless culture field,this can make the root system uniformly absorb the nutriment and moisture and improve atomization efficiency of nutrient solution for uniform nutriment absorption at the root system. Aeroponics culture technology has brought an intuitionistic,visual,fast and effective research method for the simulation of plant growth. Through the aeroponics culture device we can observe the plant structure, distribution, evolution, growth and development more directly.We can also analyze the various laws and various factors of plant growth and development more effectively, in order to manage the process of the production of crops effectively and improve the product quality.Aeroponics is a kind of method based on hydroponics and one of the best cultivation modes to solve the contradiction between water and air in the root system of plants,which can atomize the nutrient solution to the ultrafine particles. At present, spray cultivation research has obtained the certain achievement, but there are still many problems which restrict its development.Meanwhile,there are not many aeroponics culture devices and they are not perfect and low level of the automation control.Therefore, this paper relys on the National Natural Science Foundation of bamboo underground rhizome soil mechanics the role of computer simulation models "(31060118), combined with the research of the plant root growth characteristics, cultivation techniques, automatic control theory and ultrasonic atomization technology,an automatic aeroponics culture mechanism based on ultrasonic atomization is designed,it not only automatic adjusts temperature and humidity to the growth of plant roots,but also observes conveniently plant roots environment and provides sufficient nutrients for at the same time. It has an important significant for visualization research of plant roots.The main contents and results of this study include: 1.Through searching a lot of literatures and studying the research content of aeroponics culture, research status, as well as some related research methods of plant root.Analysis the problems and bottlenecks in the research process in order to get the content of this research topic, research focus and research significance.2.Through researching the existing aeroponics culture devices, an automatic aeroponics culture device is designed based on the deficiencies existing in these devices. The system mainly consists of three parts including the aeroponics culture mechanism,nutrient supply and regulation system and automatic control device. The three subsystem is separately designed in detail, clearing the specific work of each.3.Through analysing piezometrical and centrifugal atomization, the problems of two atomization methods are found,therefore ultrasonic atomizer is choose to improve the effect of atomization.4.Through researching of the plant root growth characteristics, shading is important for the plant growth, because most of the root grows ideally in darkness.A shading device is designed which is located in the walls of the cultivation box,there are some different shading material.Shading device is not only sealed and comfortable environment for plant root growth, but also convenient for observation of roots.5.A heating device is designed due to the temperature on the growth of plant roots,it plays a vital role on plant roots. A heating device is composed of single strand winding heating wire which is winded in the skeleton with the PU tube and t-branch pipe, is used to raise the temperature to adapt to the growth of plant roots.6.Selecting lettuce as experiment object to test various related performance, compared with soil culture and hydroponic culture at the same external conditions, through data analysis and draw relevant conclusions.An aeroponics culture device is designed in this paper in order to solve the bottleneck problems of traditional spray cultivation devices, it provides a comfortable temperature and humidity environment and sufficient nutrients for the growth of plant roots, observes plant roots at the same time,so within a certain range, this device enjoys it’s versatility and broad prospects of development.
