| Landscape is an important part of city modernization construction, it is the most effective measures to improve the city’s ecological environment. In this research, the object of study is city’s landscaping plants in Shanxi Province, partition study the configuration of landscape plant.1.Based of comprehensive investigation and analysis, consider the natural geographical climate, following the local ecological, landscape and cultural characteristics, and combining with the characteristics of urban construction, set up urban landscaping plants division system, construction characteristics of garden green land of Shanxi Province can be divided into five area, the Central and Southern warm temperate zone area, the North temperate zone area, the West and Northwest warm temperate zone area, Lvliang warm temperate zone area and the East warm temperate zone area.2.Choose typical cities in each area, investigating the local plant landscaping plant species composition, community structure, plant configuration mode, establish the green area for landscape plants.3.Study the landscape plant configuration mode choice as park green space and residential green space and road system, sum up a total of53kinds of typical community configuration mode, including trees and shrubs and lawn, trees and shrubs, trees and lawn, and the compound of plant configuration mode.
