Compound Asparagus cochinchinensis polysaccharide (ACP) injection was a compound preparation containing Asparagus polysaccharide and Panax notoginseng saponins, the active ingredients of Chinese herbal medicine according to theory of modern veterinary medicine. The earler studies in our laboratory had shown that compound Asparagus cochinchinensis polysaccharide (ACP) injection had an effect of immunoenhancement. The purpose of this study was to develop the quality standard of the compound ACP injection and the clinical pharmacodynamics experiment was carried out. Treatment effect of the compound ACP injection was investigated by mading the the artificial infection model of chicken infectious bronchitis disease in chocken. Three experiments were conducted:(1) An experiment of clinical drug dosage screening of the compound ACP injection;(2) Treatment test of the compound ACP injection resisting on chicken infectious bronchitis disease;(3) A safety evaluation of the compound ACP injection in chicken. The results showed that:(1) the compound ACP injection has a good stability and the quality standard scheme was feasible;(2) the compound ACP injection had a clinical curative effect of chicken infectious bronchitis disease; the effective rate was100%; The curative rate of the high dose, medium dose or low dose was95%,90%and85%respectively;(3) The relative weight gain rate of chicken treated with the compound ACP injection at high dose, medium dose or low dose was93.04%,87.63%and85.14%respectively;(4) According to the treatment effect of the compound ACP injection:the body weight changes of chicken and other factors such as drug costs, the recommend therapeutic program of the compound ACP injection for chicken infectious bronchitis was as follows:2.0mL/kg body weight with intramuscular injection once a day for three days;(5) The recommended dose of the compound ACP injection was safe in clinical application and the preparation had a wide safe range.
