Cultivation Performance Of The Table Grapes In Yangling, Shaanxi Province

From February to December in2012, we researched on the phenophase, growth resultscharacteristics, fruit quality and disease resistance of the16table grape varieties, RosarioRosso, Rosario Bianco, Zana, Zaoheibao, Auguste, Victoria, Centenial Seedless, Qiuhongbao,Red Globe, Muscat Hamburg, Thompson Seedless, Superior Seedless, Moonlight Seedless,Gold Finger, Rizamat and Crimson Seedless in different cultivation conditions like sunlightgreenhouse, shelter and outdoor in Yangling of Shaanxi province. The study aims to compareeconomic characteristics of the table grapes in three different cultivation modes and providetheory basis and reference for production practice of table grapes in Yangling area.The result shows that:1. In the aspect of phenophase, bud bursted in mid to late February, berry ripped in lateJune to July in the cultivation of sunlight greenhouse. In open condition, bud bursted inmid-April, berry ripped in the middle of August. Phenological phase under the sheltercondition was basically same with the outdoor condition. Grape maturation in the greenhouseis relatively40-50days earlier than outdoor.2. In the aspect of growth results characteristics, all showed relatively good germinationrate. Because the vines are too young to bear production, the growth results characteristics arenot good. It has only been super seedless, Zana, and Rosario Rosso, Rosario Bianco under theshelter condition, whose cluster number per bearing shoot is bigger than1.0. MuscatHamburg performed weak growth potential, the rest varieties performed moderate potential.3. Under the condition of sunlight greenhouse, comparing different varieties of fruitquality, Superior Seedless, Moonlight Seedless, Zana, Zaoheibao, Auguste, Victoria andQiuhongbao showed well fruit appearance and inner quality. Superior Seedless andMoonlight Seedless had special strawberry aroma. Zana, Zaoheibao, Auguste, Victoria,Qiuhongbao and Muscat Hamburg had purple berry skin, rich rose fragrant. Red Globeshowed light flavors.4. In the accept of disease resistance, the sunlight greenhouse condition performed lessleaf and berry disease index than the outdoor condition. Fruit bagging of all the varietiesbefore coloring, can effectively reduce the incidence of fruit diseases. In the outdoor mode,leaves downy mildew was much serious. 5. The same varieties comparison under different cultivation mode, under the condition ofsunlight greenhouse, Auguste, Victoria and Zaoheibao bud burst rate was higher than outdoor,growth results characteristics were no difference. Rizamat had poor performance ingreenhouse and open conditions. Greenhouse planted varieties’ disease index wassignificantly lower than the outdoor condition.Conclusion, the sunlight greenhouse cultivation can improve fruit quality, reduce diseaseindex. Greenhouse cultivation can also be harvested earlier, which has good economic benefit.In the greenhouse condition, Auguste, Victoria, Zaoheibao, Zana, Superior Seedless,Moonlight Seedless and Qiuhongbao showed excellent synthetically properties, worth to befurther tested and extend planting.
