The steppe in lower area of Kherlon River located in the eastern part of the Mongolian Plateau, under the double impact of climate change and human activities, the grassland ecosystem of the region with varying degrees of degradation。The article takes the Typical Steppe in lower area of Kherlon River as target of study, to analyze the soil nutrition characteristics、characteristics of vegetation communities and plant nutrition characteristics with different grazing patterns is very important。The results are as follows:1. The order of the Organic Matter, the total Nitrogen, the available Nitrogen, the total Phosphorus, the available Phosphorus and the available Potassium content of soil is nomadic pastureland>rotation grazing pastureland>thresher grassland both in summer pastures and winter pastures. Between layers of soil0-10cm in winter pastures the gap of the different ways of utility is most obviously. The soil Organic Matter, the total Nitrogen, the available Nitrogen, the total Phosphorus content in nomadic pastureland, rotation grazing pastureland, thresher grassland are significant differences (P<0.05) Rotation grazing pastureland and thresher grassland in summer pastureland there was no significant differences (P<0.05)2. The distribution status of the soil total Potassium is different from that of the other soil nutrition, there is no apparent regularity. The study area soil is neutral or slightly alkaline. Rotation grazing pastureland soil pH value is higher than nomadic pastureland and thresher grassland, the trend of development to alkalization.3. To analyze the characteristics of vegetation communities in typical grassland in lower area of Kherlon River showed that the study area is stipa grandis steppe. Community average height of the order:nomadic pastureland> thresher grassland>rotation grazing pastureland; Community average cover of the order:thresher grassland>nomadic pastureland>rotation grazing pastureland; Community an important value in the order: nomadic pastureland> thresher grassland>rotation grazing pastureland.4. Plant nutrition index analysis showed that the plant total Phosphorus, total Potassium content of the size as follows:nomadic pastureland>rotation grazing pastureland>thresher grassland. Plant total Nitrogen content of the si(?) as follows:rotation grazing pastureland>nomadic pastureland> thresher grassland. Soluble sugar content of the size as follows:thresher grassland>rotation grazing pastureland>nomadic pastureland. 5. The correlation analysis between the soil nutrition characteristics and vegetation communities’ characteristics showed to the characteristics of vegetation communities with the soil Organic Matter, the total Nitrogen, the available Nitrogen, the total Phosphorus, the available Phosphorus, the total Potassium and the available Potassium was positively correlated, was negatively correlated with soil pH, and the weak positive correlation of the soil total Potassium.6. The correlation analysis between the soil nutrition characteristics and Plant nutrition index showed that plant nutrition indicators and soil pH was a negative correlation, but was positively correlated with other nutrition characteristics. Plant total Nitrogen, Soluble sugar between the soil nutrition characteristics have a weak correlation; plant total Phosphorus, total Potassium between the soil nutrition characteristics have a strong correlation.
